Day 83 - March 24, 2011
The cat will NOT stop stalking me. Everywhere I go, she has to be there and as close to me as possible. This is when she jumped up onto the desk and fooled me that she was going to just lay down near me and give up. Rather, she lulled me into a false sense of security and then came over and laid down, plopping her 40 pound head on my hand and began demanding that I pay the proper amount of attention to her.

Day 78 - March 19, 2011
Went hiking in Two Rivers Park and these were some of the sights. The first two were along the swamp where the Spousal Unit so helpfully reminded me that "water moccasins are out early this year". 'Cause, yeah, that's reassuring. The third picture is looking up at the gated community that gets to look down on the park and everyone else :).
We passed this sign on the way into Two Rivers. The first words out of the mouths of the Spousal Unit and me were "I wonder what they asked them." (Later I did Google to find out that Polled Herefords are apparently Herefords without horns - so anticlimactic!)

The cats continued to entertain me this week. I was sitting in the office working on the computer when I heard snuffling. Turned around to find Curious Grace in this position on the top of the filing cabinet. Boy, wish I could get a handle on the sleep anywhere/anytime thing!

Yup. It's a pad of paper :). I found out on very short notice (like, one day) that I would be taking over a second graduate program coordinator role in addition to the one I already perform along with my other duties. This pad is the result of one very long brain suck today with the abdicating coordinator. Most of the pad is filled.

I saw this on a freeway overpass. If you can't read it, it says, "Bobby Ray, I'm yours 4ever. Julia 9/90". Either Julia is one devoted girl or Bobby Ray and she are the approximate sizes of Godzilla and Gamera.

Please wish me well on my new career as a human pincushion :). This is the med the doctor and I are hoping will show some results. They had me do the initial injection in his office to make sure I didn't have any problems with it. The only problem I could find is if you're standing up to do this, it's kinda hard to see past the chestal area (Note: better to do this sitting...)

This is Munchkin under the bed in our bedroom where she is NOT supposed to be. The bedroom tends to be the warmest room in the apartment so I will leave the door open while I do my hair and makeup. Normally, she is very good about not trying to sneak her way in but lately she's been skulking in and diving under the bed before I can grab her. Today, I decided to go with the flow and grab some pictures.
Pa-pa...Pa-pa...Pa-parazzi!!! (I got her to do something embarrasingly Pavlovian for a feline to get her out of the bedroom shortly after this picture was taken. I grabbed a bag of Nana's kitty treats and shook them. Munchkin shot out of there faster than a greased pig :)).

For your pixelated pleasure :). Today I start the last round in Proving The Medication Doesn't Work. Unfortunately, that means the maximum dose and the maximum side effects which include (but are not limited to) nausea, fatigue, somnolence, numbness and painful, sharp tingling in my hands and feet. I mean, really, if I'm going to have Spidey sense, can't I at least have nifty webs to shoot or something?

We just had to switch from Comcast to ATT/U-verse which comes with a DVR. And, wonder of wonders, has an iPhone app which lets me set up recording stuff from anywhere as long as I've got my iPhone with me.
